Ready Window (or Ready Window Sales & Service) closed on 12537 Distribution Blvd. Lake Placid, commonly known as the old Georgia Pacific building, on August 5th, 2022.
Ready Window, a glazing contractor, was founded in Miami in 1987. They specialize in sales, service, and installation of windows and exterior doors for any size residential or commercial project. They originally covered the Dade/Broward County area, but with steady growth over the years, they have extend their service coverage up through the I-4 corridor. The new facility in Lake Placid will become their primary receiving and distribution site for Florida. They will receive product by rail and truck and will deliver by truck to job sites as needed. For example, a large commercial project may take 2000 windows and 2 years to complete, but to promote cost efficiency, this facility will allow for storage of full orders for entire projects and shipping as projects progress.
Ready Window currently has around 150 employees between their office headquarters and warehouse in Miami and sales office and warehouse in Tampa. They are looking to hire 30 new employees immediately, needing warehouse laborers, drivers, and installers. For the time being, they will bring a manager for the facility and a few key positions to train the new employees until self-sufficient. Over the next two year, they hope to grow to have at least 50 employees from Highlands County.
